KTM History

The Kaveri Trail Marathon began its journey in 2007 as a training run for the Bangalore Ultra. Little did we know that the training run will turn out to be one of our flagship events. In 2007, we had 170 runners who signed up for the Kaveri Trail Marathon.

In 2008, the Kaveri Trail Marathon was given its due as the 2nd Sunday of September was set aside for the annual pilgrimage to historic town of Srirangapatnam. Though only 270 runners took part in 2008, we knew that it will be our biggest event real soon.

In 2009, the participant figure jumped to 710 - A 150 % jump from the previous year. No distance too long was the mantra for all the 710 runners who braved the heat & humidity and ran the KTM.

In 2010, over 700 runners had the privilege of running the KTM & all the participants were timed to the last second, thanks to the introduction of Champion Chip.

Come 2011, over 900 runners will have the privilege to bless their feet on the holy KTM trail. Are you part of the lucky 900? Register today to find out.
